The Feminist Perspective Amongst University-educated Mexican Women Soccer Players

Abstract

Professional soccer in Mexico was until recently an exclusive field for men, and only five years ago it became a new opportunity for women. The objective of this article is to identify the feminist perspective constructed by Mexican women soccer players who participate in the MX Professional League and who have an universitary degree, this research is based on an anthropological, qualitative and constructivist approach. After this review, is corroborated the assumption of the influence of university education in the participation of women soccer players in a professional league that has grown and achieved sports rights in an accelerated way in such a short time of its conformation.
