In this study we analyze alternative conceptual resources to those that have been delimited from the dominant cognition framework that configured the traditional Western academic canon, in order to re-signify our epistemic and subjectivation practices with the aim of recognizing and legitimizing, within the narratives about knowledge, the experiences of dissident identities in the face of hegemony. To this end, we examine how the spaces of normative knowledge production have maintained a closed semiotics that excludes the knowledge of peripheral subjectivities. In this context, we turn to the proposals of embodied cognition and situated knowledge to engage in embodied-situated dialogues from which to offer alternative and critical perspectives on epistemic practices. From these dialogues, we study the question of subjectivity through the idea of difference in order to offer more flexible and open horizons regarding the configuration of identity, in both an individual and collective sense.
