Abstract

The purpose of this text is to carry out a reflective exercise on the new challenges that personal and social ethics must meet based on the Paper’s standards from the different social settings, which emerge as a result of the consolidation of a culture of non-compliance with the rules in our Latin American context and they do a lot of harm to individuals in different social settings. For this purpose, it begins with an analysis of corruption as an exemplary phenomenon that affects compliance with the rules. Subsequently, the problem referred to the violation of the norm and cognitive dissonance is addressed, which is a mental conflict that arises when there is a disagreement between the actions and the beliefs of the individuals, generally, these tend to contradict each other. Finally, it is brought up the situation that the three previous elements lead us to rethink life from a personal and social ethic.
