Abstract

Introduction: The return of COVID-19 in high-income countries with developed vaccine programs has raised concerns about the durability of the vaccine's efficacy, mainly against the more transmissible delta and omicron variant. Objective: to show the progress of the application of the first and only doses by age group for vaccination against SARS-COV-2 in Colombia, between the period from February 17 to November 30, 2021. Methodology: This research is carried out under a cross-sectional study, as a source of information it was obtained from the national vaccination plan against COVID-19 from the website of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. Results: It was deduced that the age groups with the highest percentages of application of first and only doses were: 75-79 years with 100.1%, 80-100 years with 99.3%, and 45-49 years with 97. 3%. And the age groups with the lowest percentages of application of first and only doses have: 3-4 years with 22.7%, 5-9 years with 32%, and 10-11 years with 41.0%. Conclusion: The population's expectations in the acceptance of immunobiologicals against COVID-19 are beneficial and show a high level of trust towards government authorities. In addition, there is a good tendency of the participants to comply with the immunization schedule.
