Focus and Scope
The Journal of Research of the University of Quindío (RIUQ) is the official scientific dissemination body of the Vice-Rector for Research of the University of Quindío, aimed at the national and international scientific community; Its main objective is to support, encourage and disseminate the intellectual production of teachers and researchers. The journal publishes research articles, technical articles, literature reviews, topic reviews, brief communications and case reports that are accepted after peer review in the following sections:
Section 1. Exact and Natural Sciences, Agricultural
Section 2. Engineering and Technology
Section 3. Health Sciences.
Section 4. Social sciences, Humanities and Education.
The journal covers all areas of knowledge, therefore, it is classified as multidisciplinary.
Peer Review Process
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle of offering the public free access to research for a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Editorial process
The author must start the publication process by registering on the RIUQ platform, through the following link https://ojs.uniquindio.edu.co/ojs/index.php/riuq/user/register. Subsequently, the author will upload the file with the article and fill out the information requested in the metadata (title, abstract, authors, keywords, among others). Once the application process has been completed, the author for correspondence will receive the confirmation of the shipment in his email. The Editor in Chief will nominate an Associate Editor who will be responsible for the manuscript evaluation process by two anonymous external reviewers. This initial evaluation process lasts from 1 to 3 months. The Associate Editor will inform after receiving the evaluation by pairs about the acceptance decision, modification with minor or major changes, or rejection and will send this communication to the author for correspondence.
